Australian Media Goes Crazy over ‘Racist’ White Student Union Page

We are all used to the race baiting ways of the mainstream media and hip college students but now the media have a new target. Proud of your race? It’s fine as long as you are not white, That’s according to the Courier Mail anyway on the topic of a ‘White Student Union’ Facebook page set up by anonymous individuals who attend the University of Queensland in the name of providing a safe space for white students who feel victims of prejudice or feel out of place.

Now in Australia, Breitbart has reported that these pages first began to spring up all over North America at universities in New York, Toronto and Chicago. “In the space of a few days, Facebook pages for “White Student Unions” have sprung up on dozens of campuses across North America. The pages adopt the language of campus activists, promising a “safe space” for white students and condemning alleged anti-white racism on campus.”

All the pages seem to carry the same message and they seem to be in response to Black and feminist ‘safe spaces’ In private interviews conducted with the creators of a number of these groups, a number of the new “White Student Unions” are indeed the product of students on campus who are afraid to speak out publicly.

So further analysis shows these kids are more than trolls, these are not white supremacists but are white students annoyed and confused at the craziness of the media and of leftist students. Juan (real name omitted at his request), a Mexican-American student at UC Santa Cruz (UCSC), in an interview with Breitbart said he started his White Student Union page as a means to mock the “absurd nonsense of crybaby, race-obsessed college students, [by] using their tactics against them,” although Juan also added that he now thinks there might be a serious problem to tackle. “We’re coming to see that there might actually be some hostility to the thought that one might be proud of being of European descent.”

The University of Queensland has since replied to the facebook page distancing themselves from this ‘racism’ (although they have Indian student unions) we spoke to the admin who wished to remain Anonymous. Although the UQ student union is unofficial it still has a lot of benefits, the admin stated “Our goal is to push the point that white people have as much right as any other people on this earth to organize themselves and act collectively to further their own mutual interests. We don’t hate other races and we definitely don’t think whites should ‘rule over’ anyone else.”

In a post by the UQ White Student Union they ask the question. “Why is this idea so controversial? What is it about white people that we’re not allowed to do this, yet everybody else is?” they go on to say, “Of course this is about a lot more than us as students, it’s also about issues of national and international significance such as the migrant crisis in Europe. When the people of every other ethnicity on this planet are first and foremost looking out for each other, why are white people as a group expected to purge themselves of any sense of ethnic or national solidarity and to sacrifice their interests for those of outsiders? Why is it that if you feel more of an obligation toward your neighbours, kin, and to your ethnic and cultural brethren than to outsiders who are entirely alien to you, you’re “racist”? It’s an important question to ask, it’s quickly becoming the key question of our times.”

The University of Chicago’s page stresses that it only wishes to discuss “identity and heritage” and “wishes no harm or domination of other groups. So come join us.” Liberty University’s WSU page, prior to its deletion, promised “outreach and educational events” and declared itself “open to people of all backgrounds as we are a tolerant community that values the support of allies.”

The friendliness of the language is in stark contrast to the increasingly bellicose and hysterical social justice mobs currently terrorising campuses. A particularly extreme incident recently occurred at Dartmouth, where Black Lives Matter activists invaded a library. The activists hurled abuse at students as they attempted to work, calling them “filthy white f*cks” and “racist sh*ts.”
